About Islamiya PUC Arts

Established in 1971, the Arts stream at Islamiya Pre-University College was among the earliest academic wings created to offer students a strong foundation in humanities, languages, and social sciences. With a focus on knowledge, cultural awareness, and critical thinking, we have guided generations of students toward careers in civil services, education, law, journalism, and more. Our experienced faculty and inclusive learning environment ensure that each student is equipped for both academic success and personal growth.

Courses & Combinations Offered

We offer Karnataka State Board-recognized subject combinations in 1st and 2nd PUC Arts, designed to suit a wide range of academic and career goals:

  • HEPS – History, Economics, Political Science, Sociology
  • HESP – History, Economics, Sociology, Psychology
  • HESK – History, Economics, Sociology, Kannada

Students receive a balanced exposure to analytical thinking, cultural studies, and real-world relevance through interactive classes and regular assessments.

Language Options

As part of the curriculum, students can select from the following language subjects:

  • First Language: English
  • Second Language Options: Urdu, Kannada, Hindi

We emphasize reading, writing, and communication skills across all languages to prepare students for higher studies and public-facing careers.

  • Competitive exams such as SDA, FDA, and Banking

We also offer career guidance sessions, helping students make informed decisions about their future educational and career paths.

Admission & Eligibility

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Completion of SSLC or equivalent from a recognized board.
  • Open to both boys and girls.

Admission Process:

  1. Collect and fill the application form.
  2. Submit SSLC marks card, TC, Aadhaar, and passport photos.
  3. Attend a short orientation session.
  4. Pay fees to confirm admission.

Admissions open every April–May.

Discipline & Attendance

We believe discipline shapes success. Students are required to:

  • Maintain minimum 75% attendance in each subject
  • Follow the prescribed uniform and etiquette
  • Respect teachers, staff, and peers
  • Participate in internal assessments and activities

The Arts section conducts various activities to enhance student engagement and creativity, such as:

  • Cultural Programs & Independence Day Events
  • Essay, Speech, and Debate Competitions
  • Field Visits to Museums, Courts, Panchayats, and Universities
  • Awareness Campaigns on Social and Civic Issues

These events help build confidence, public speaking skills, and social awareness among students.
